Steve Mitchell |
Steve Mitchell is President and CEO of
Mitchell Interactive. Steve is a nationally
known and respected expert in all types of
traditional and Internet based qualitative and
quantitative market research. Steve has worked
for corporate, association, labor union,
governmental, education and media clients in
more than 40 states since 1985. He uses his
extensive background and expertise to develop
actionable research projects. When he gets the
results of the research, he then drafts and
implements successful strategic action plans for
his clients.
In addition to his work in the private sector,
he has worked for governors, U.S. Senators,
Members of Congress, state legislators and
mayors. Prior to founding his own traditional
market research company, Mitchell Research &
Communications, Inc. in 1985, he was on the
national staff of Reagan-Bush 84 in charge of
all voter programs in Washington state.
He is continually sought after to provide his
political expertise, polling and on-air analysis
to a host of television stations, newspapers and
online publications throughout the country and
around the world. Mitchell has provided analysis
for ABC, NBC, MSNBC, Fox News, CBS, BBC, AP,
Financial Times of London, New York Times, the
Washington Post, the Washington Times, Newsday,
the Houston Chronicle, and numerous other media
outlets in the United States and around the
world.
In his home state of Michigan, he has polled for
the Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, WDIV-TV
and WJBK-TV in Detroit. Nationally the company
has served as pollster for major television
stations in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Fresno, St.
Louis, and Chicago.
In addition, Steve is well versed in all forms
of public relations and public affairs including
crisis communication management, (he helped
guide a Fortune 500 company in its internal and
external communications during a bankruptcy
filing), community relations programs, media
relations, direct mail and coalition building.
His background in public relations and public
affairs helps Mitchell Interactive assure that
client's who want to publicize research
information get the publicity they need.
He has met the public relations needs of clients
in a host fields; including utilities, banking,
real estate, data information, automotive, waste
management, environmental, manufacturing,
advertising, federal, state and local
governments, as well as for professional and
trade associations.
Steve is nationally recognized for his
successful work in preparing and implementing
state-wide ballot referendums.
He is a recognized speaker on trends in private
sector market research, politics and polling.
He is an accredited member of the Public
Relations Society of American (APR.). Only 10%
of all public relations counselors are
accredited by PRSA.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the
Michigan Chamber of Commerce; he is a board
member and former Chairman of the Board of
Common Ground Sanctuary, a $10 million per year
non-profit agency; he serves on the Visiting
Committee of the Gerald Ford Institute of Public
Policy at Albion College; and, he is a member of
the Oversight Committee of the Sen. Robert
Griffin Endowed Professorship at Central
Michigan University.
He holds a bachelor's degree in political
science and history from Northern Michigan

Suzan Mitchell is Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Mitchell Interactive, LLC and is Chair of the firm's
Brand Marketing Practice.
In her 30 years in the communications industry,
Suzie has built an extensive and varied
background working with clients both in the
consumer and business-to-business sectors
covering economic development, health care,
food/beverage, financial services, community
mental health, emergency services, public
safety, local government and waste management
industries.
We understand the power of brand. We know how to
impact behavior and choice both short term and
long term while building brand loyalty. By
employing creative planning, based on a brand's
strategy, we deliver powerful programs that
reach targeted audiences that achieve measurable
results.
Suzie also served as Director of the Department
of Public Information for the County of Oakland
in Michigan (pop. 1.1 million) from 1983-1992.
She was responsible for all the County internal
and external communications.
She spent the early part of her career as a
journalist for the Observer & Eccentric
Newspapers, a twice-weekly suburban chain with
circulation of 100,000 plus. Her background as a
journalist helps her maintain hundreds of
contacts with print, television and broadcast
reporters.
In addition to her communications experience,
Suzie is a nationally recognized fundraiser for
major donor programs. She has served as a
fundraising consultant to U.S. Congressmen and
Michigan Supreme Court justices.
She holds a bachelor's degree in communication
from Michigan State University and has completed
specialized training in public relations from
New York University.
